No New Years Resolutions

Happy 2018! New year, a time for diets and multiple promises to ourselves that we try to keep, but usually it all ends in tears. Every year I try and keep my resolutions, it usually ends by the second week of January. This year I don’t want to make resolutions. I’m bored of endless promises leading to failure; I want 2018 to be lined with success.

 

My 2018 goals are to keep producing interesting content. (I’m sorry if this article is a bit boring and over done but I wanted to write it ok!) I have started journaling my life, it isn’t as interesting as Harry Styles’, but you know what may be something will happen. I’ve also been trying to practice mindfulness; it’s very calming and has really helped me a lot throughout my essay stress.

 

I also want to have a healthier lifestyle. I know, January diets and all that jazz, but I really want to try and have a better diet (she says while sipping rosé). Green juices, vegetables, fruit and all the bran flakes you can find! Being single and not really caring has meant I’ve let myself gain a couple of pounds, and that’s fine, but I think I feel a little better eating right. Diet affects a lot of our lives, our mood, our skin, and our health; so maybe improving that isn’t the worst thing.

 

I want 2018 to be a year for me, where I improve my freelance writing, and finally start working towards my dream career. I know what you’re thinking, what’s the point of this blog? Well I’m trying to prove that New Year shouldn’t be seen as a time where we have to make ridiculous promises, we can do that anytime. I see 2018 as a new beginning, full of promise and opportunity. Don’t make ridiculous goals make achievable goals.
